New Zealand captain Tim Southee says the Black Caps still have much to learn following their Twenty20 victory over England on Tuesday. New Zealand made 180-7 off their 20 overs, with Colin de Grandhomme top scoring with 55, but it looked as though it would not be enough as England got off to a bright start in response. England were on 139-2 with 31 balls remaining, but then lost the next five wickets for just 10 runs, and eventually finished 14 runs short on 166-7. Southee was delighted with his side and the way they never gave up, but speaking after the win, admitted there is still much to learn. “We knew as a group it would get tough if we got the tailenders in and they had to hit out from the start,” Southee said, “As long as Morgan was in they had a sniff, especially with James Vince in and playing well but we knew if we kept taking wickets it would get tough. “There’s still areas we need to improve on but it’s nice to win games like that, that can go either way at the half-way point and during the second innings.”
