With Tottenham continuing to eye a move for a strike partner to ease the load on star-man Harry Kane, The Evening Standard has stated Spurs are eyeing a move for FC Utrecht ace Sebastian Haller.
It’s been an incredible season for the Tottenham fans and they’re optimistic of big business this summer, to bolster their chances in their return to Champions League football.
Haller has excelled in the Eredivisie this summer, scoring 16 goals, and the French youth international has already attracted Premier League interest this season with Norwich City failing with an approach in January.
As Tottenham push for the Premier League crown, currently trailing Leicester City in the hunt, Mauricio Pochettino has not turned a blind eye to the problems that the club have and they desperately need a supporting striker for Kane.
Kane has 21 Premier League goals this season, putting him top of the scoring charts, but the concern has always remained at how Spurs would perform in his absence, should he pick up an injury or suspension.
Whilst Spurs seem like they won’t face an issue like that this season, the north London side are yet to cement themselves as regulars in the top-four and will face competition from the clubs around them next year, as well as Liverpool, Manchester United, West Ham and Chelsea.
