Stan Kroenke has pumped money into Arsenal to help ease the financial burden caused by the coronavirus crisis.
In a notice issued on the London Stock Exchange, the Gunners have confirmed their intention to redeem bonds linked to the construction of the Emirates Stadium, financed by a loan from Kroenke Sports Entertainment.
The injection will give the club greater freedom in how they balance their finances during what is an uncertain period following the global pandemic.
It is unlikely, however, to have a any significant bearing on how much Mikel Arteta has to spend on new players ahead of next season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are re-considering plans for a goalkeeper shake-up following the impressive form of Emiliano Martinez.
Martinez has stood in more than capably for Bernd Leno, who is in a race against time to be fit for the start next season with a knee injury.
Arsenal had been planning on signing a new goalkeeper to provide competition for Leno ahead of next season.
Newcastle keeper Freddie Woodman, who has spent this season on loan at Swansea, has been scouted significantly by the Gunners this season.
But Martinez has proved he can provide genuine competition to Leno next season with plans now afoot to improve his current deal.
The Argentine wants to play more regularly, but there is hope the lure of a new contract may convince him to stay and battle it with Leno.
