“Stand Up Now And Speak” – Gary Neville Urges Ronaldo To Clarify His Man Utd Future

Gary Neville has urged former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to “stand up now and speak” as rumours about his Old Trafford future persists. Ronaldo informed the club earlier this summer that he intended to go, but he has not clarified his decision to fans in the weeks afterwards.

Following United’s devastating 4-0 loss at Brentford on Saturday, the legendary forward appeared to jeopardise his bond with the United fans by refusing to applaud the travelling fans at full time.

Despite his apparent wish to leave, Ronaldo has slammed the media for “telling lies” about him this summer and promised to clear the air “in a couple of weeks.”

However, Neville sees no need for Ronaldo to wait until then, and has asked the 37-year-old to show some leadership in a message to his social media followers.

“Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth? Stand up now and speak,” He posted on Twitter.

“The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He’s the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck!”

Manchester United Reportedly Having Difficulty Finding A Replacement For Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United’s troubles could worsen if Cristiano Ronaldo decides to leave the club this summer. According to reports, the Red Devils are having difficulty finding a replacement for the 37-year-old.

They have reportedly targeted Atletico Madrid attacker Matheus Cunha as a possible replacement. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian has no desire to join the Red Devils this summer.

The 23-year-old is said to be content in Madrid and is hesitant to think about leaving Diego Simeone’s side this summer.

With only two weeks until the transfer season closes, United may struggle to find a replacement.

If Cristiano Ronaldo leaves the club this summer, United could be severely lacking in attacking options and goals.
