Manchester United Manager, Erik ten Hag is reportedly seen in a footage exchanging ‘fiery’ words with his assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy in the Red Devils’ stalemate with Aston Villa.
Both Dutchmen can be seen having an animated conversation in the footage of the incident that has gone viral on social media. Visibly furious, Ten Hag gestures at the former PSV Eindhoven manager, who is seen paying close attention.
According to the Daily Express, the tense exchange lasted for a few seconds before ten Hag’s obviously unhappy face marked the end of the video. Calls for skilled lip-readers to interpret the discourse have surfaced, leaving social media users to guess about the language of their dispute.
Despite their goalless performance at Villa Park, United managed to earn a solitary point thanks to their consistent defensive play.
Ten Hag praised his team’s defensive efforts and offered comments on their offensive difficulties following the game.
United’s eight-point total is their lowest in the Premier League’s history. And they have only managed five goals in their seven league games.
The only team with less goals than United is 19th-placed Southampton. However, Crystal Palace, who lost during the weekend, have also scored five goals.

Their next two games are against teams with inferior defensive records who are slightly above them in the standings.
Following the international break, they will travel to play West Ham, who have let up nine goals in their last four home games and 11 overall. This will come after hosting Brentford, who have conceded 13 goals in seven games.
