Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has revealed he will not take risks on his injured stars when addressing the media ahead of his side’s clash against Liverpool.
The Red Devils suffered yet another blow when Marcus Rashford was hauled off due to injury in the club’s pre-season friendly against Real Betis in San Diego.
In the second part of the match at Snapdragon Stadium, the England international hobbled off as United won 3-2.
This weekend, the Red Devils head to South Carolina to play Liverpool before playing Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley.
Prior to the commencement of the new campaign, Ten Hag has already lost two of his finest players.
Striker Rasmus Hojlund is anticipated to miss six weeks due to a hamstring injury. Summer addition Leny Yoro is expected to miss three months owing to a foot injury.
“We have to wait,” Ten Hag told reporters in the US as echoed by The Evening Standard.
“Of course, we don’t take risks in the last game of the tour, going into the season next week already, we go into an important game and we are still 24 hours after a game.
“The final assessment we still have to make and then we will see if they are ready for the game against Liverpool on Saturday.”
