Thiago Alcantara, a former star player for Liverpool who retired a few days ago, is about to return to football right away.
After two seasons of injury on Merseyside, the 33-year-old said he was hanging up his boots.
However, it appears that Thiago will be returning to Barcelona as a coach working for new manager Hansi Flick.
Flick was the midfielder’s manager at Bayern Munich.

In 2020, Thiago played a crucial role in leading Bayern to Champions League victory.
The Spanish international returned to action for their summer Champions League knockout games against Chelsea, Barcelona, Lyon, and Paris Saint-Germain, playing nearly every minute despite battling a groin injury towards the close of the COVID-19 ravaged 2019/2020 campaign.
According to a Spanish newspaper, Thiago “is returning” to Barcelona in order to act as a “bridge between Flick and the team.”

The former Reds midfielder was also seen at Barcelona’s training facility earlier this week.
For Thiago, who won everything imaginable while playing for the Catalans, returning to Barcelona is a full circle event.
