It has not been an easy start for Mbappe as a Real Madrid player, as he has frequently faced criticism for his lackluster play throughout the past three months.
This persisted on Tuesday following Los Blancos’ 3-1 Champions League loss to AC Milan, another game in which the 25-year-old did not perform very well.

Thierry Henry, Mbappe’s countryman, discussed the issue during his CBS punditry appearance (via Sport) and was unreserved in his judgment.
“Bellingham nearly always attempts to make the runs and gets the team moving. He continues to be the one who attempts to cross boundaries.
“Who is attempting to cross the finish line while running? Bellingham is filling in for Mbappe. This is not always the case, although it can happen occasionally.
“Do you believe Bellingham enjoys these runs as a way to get the team more mileage? He acts in this way because he is motivated to do so.”
“You have to give him time, but he must learn to play as a 9 and have the desire and the will to do so. I think the team is frustrated with him, which I can understand.”
Real Madrid right now is typified by Mbappe’s troubles. In order to avoid a disappointing season at the Santiago Bernabeu, both the individual and the team must significantly improve going forward, reports Football Espana.
