Chelsea forward Eden Hazard says playing with N’Golo Kante feels like he is lining up alongside twins due to the Frenchman’s incredible work rate.
Kante joined the Blues from Leicester last summer and immediately established himself as a vital cog in Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system.
The 25-year-old is the driving force in Chelsea’s engine room and produced another impressive display as the west Londoners eased past West Ham courtesy of a 2-1 scoreline last night.
Hazard and Diego Costa were the men on target for the Premier League pacesetters but the Belgian was quick to praise Kante’s unrelenting energy in the centre of the park.
Hazard told Chelsea TV: “I don’t need to speak about N’Golo [Kante], everyone knows about him. He’s everywhere.
“I think sometimes when I’m on the pitch I see him twice. One on the left, one on the right. I think I’m playing with twins!
“He’s a fantastic player and helps the team a lot so we are happy to have him in the team,” Hazard added.
Kante, who was crowned Premier League Player of the Year at 2017 London Football Awards last week, also had his stamina praised by Conte after Chelsea moved 10 points clear at the top of the table.
The Italian coach was delighted with the midfielder’s contribution and joked that Kante needs to improve his passing, despite a 90% accuracy against Slaven Bilic’s side.
Meanwhile, Chelsea could beat the points tally set by Jose Mourinho’s side during the 2004/05 season if their form continues but Hazard is adamant the Blues’ sole focus is wining the title.
