Thomas Tuchel Prefers To Manage Manchester United ‘If There Is A Vacancy’ Following His Bayern Exit

On Friday, Thomas Tuchel hinted at the possibility of continuing in his role as head coach of Bayern Munich, saying that although he has committed to leaving the team at the end of the year, “everything is possible.”

The 50-year-old’s resignation from Bayern was declared in February, with effect from the end of the current campaign.

The Bavarian team is now 12 points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen after a challenging domestic campaign.

Nonetheless, some believe Tuchel ought to continue as manager given their success in the Champions League, where they have advanced to the round of four and drew 2-2 with Real Madrid in the first leg of their semifinal on Tuesday at the Allianz Arena.

When asked if he will stay on as coach, Tuchel responded during a press conference, “This is an agreement, so this can’t be changed.”

Since we also had a contract and decided to terminate it early, everything is conceivable and any contract can be changed with mutual permission.

However, the response remains the same: the agreement is real and enforceable.”

According to ESPN, if Tuchel were to depart Bayern Munich as expected this summer, he would prefer to go back to the Premier League and would be willing to talk to Manchester United if there Is A Vacancy.
