Thorough Process Ongoing To Hire Man United Substantive Manager’ –Football Director, Murtough

Manchester United Football Director, John Murtough, has hinted that the club is working assiduously towards contracting a substantive manger to take over from interim gaffer, Ralf Rangnick.

Manchester United have been on the lookout for a coach since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired last year, with Ralf Rangnick and Michael Carrick filling the interim positions.

Footballfancast.com reports that Manchester United Football Director, John Murtough has given some insight into the search for a coach.

Murtough said there is now a “thorough process” happening.

He also said United aim to hire someone capable of “challenging for those domestic and European titles.”

Ole Gunnar Solkjaer is Manchester United’s fourth permanent coach to be fired since Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.

Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013, and they haven’t reached the Champions League final since 2011.

The club have spent over a billion pounds on players with only three trophies to show for it.

If the Red Devils end up being trophyless this season, it will be their longest trophy drought in 40 years.

When Ralf Rangnick’s tenure expires in the summer, fans expectations will be high as to who will be the next coach at the club.

Erik Ten Hag and Mauricio Pochetinno have been linked to the Manchester United top job, but there haven’t been any concrete details so far.
