Toni Kroos will soon extend his stay at Real Madrid, according to a report from Spanish media outlet MARCA.
Contrary to rumors, the veteran playmaker won’t be retiring anytime soon. Additionally, he will agree to a short-term contract that will run until June 30, 2024.
Toni Kroos joined Real Madrid over ten years ago, and he was already regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world.
The 33-year-old had successful and productive periods with Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. In addition, prior to joining Real Madrid, he had already won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany.
Since then, the German playmaker has gone from strength to strength, creating a lasting legacy at Real Madrid. Kroos, along with Luka Modric and Casemiro, forged one of the best midfield partnerships of all time.
Such was their dominance in the middle of the park that several talented midfielders struggled to stamp their authority at Real Madrid.

Kroos’s age is now advancing, and he is well into his thirties. But that has not affected the player, who has been tremendous in the middle of the park this season. However, the veteran playmaker is in the final year of his contract, which has put Real Madrid in a spot of bother.
However, the German midfielder will now sign a one-year extension on his contract, which will last until 2024.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will continue scouring the market for his successor.
