Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has effectively let go of a number of periphery players. The team is anticipated to concentrate on additions shortly, with Dominic Solanke of Bournemouth being a goal.

However, more players may depart, as Tottenham is prepared to loan out forward Alejo Veliz to La Liga team Espanyol.

Veliz was allegedly going to transfer on loan to Southampton, however such rumors turned out to be untrue.

Rather, Tottenham believes that a season at Espanyol in Spain would be more suitable for the youthful striker.

Veliz, who played on loan at Sevilla for the second part of the previous season, will be targeted by them to play regularly at Espanyol before making a return trip the following summer.

In a deal reportedly for £13 million, Véliz signed a six-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur on August 8, 2023.

He entered the game as a substitute in the ninetieth minute and made his debut for the team in a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at home.

Véliz scored Tottenham’s first goal on December 28, 2023, in a 4–2 loss against Brighton & Hove Albion.
