Tottenham Finally Set To Sell Inactive Striker Since 2017

One of the Premier League’s busiest teams thus far in the summer window is Tottenham Hotspur.

In anticipation of what might be a pivotal season for the Lilywhites, teenagers Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall have both arrived in North London, adding strength to Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Despite the fact that Spurs had a great start to the season and were all but guaranteed to make the Champions League by midway through, the Australian managed the team to a fifth-place finish in his first season in charge.

It appears that one of the team’s attackers is now leaving North London, reports Shoot

Striker Troy Parrott is his route to the Netherlands, according to Football Insider, in order to complete his transfer to AZ Alkmaar.

The 22-year-old attacker is expected to sign a permanent contract with the Eredivisie team, for a reported cost in excess of £1 million.

Parrott arrived to Tottenham in 2017 from Irish outfit Belvedere, but he hasn’t made an impression on the London club’s starting lineup.

He has only made four appearances for Spurs overall in all competitions and he has never provided a goal or an assist for the team.

Parrott has also played on loan for a number of teams, including Excelsior of the Netherlands, MK Dons, Preston North End, and Ipswich Town.

Although the forward’s Tottenham contract doesn’t end until the summer of next year, it seems that the North London team has decided to cash in on the player now rather than risk losing him for nothing in the next summer.
