Tottenham Hotspur have felt relieved after star forward, Heung-min Son is reportedly fit for their Premier League encounter against Sheffield United on Saturday.
Son was once a question mark for the game due to an injury he sustained while on international duty.
According to Yorkshire Live, in preparation for South Korea’s match against Saudi Arabia at St. James’ Park, the forward had taken a clumsy tumble during a training exercise at their Newcastle training base. Initially, coaches were concerned that he might have sustained injury.
Fears among Spurs supporters that their captain had suffered a serious injury were raised. This was when pictures of Son walking with heavy bracing and an ice pack on his knee surfaced.
South Korea manager, Jurgen Klinsmann selected him right away upon hearing it was not as bad as first believed.
He played in the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 victory before leaving during extra time. Spurs manager, Ange Postecoglou will receive a great boost from that.
He was likely just as worried after seeing the images. Providing there is no reaction from the performance, Son should now be ready to keep up his great play in Spurs’ jersey against Sheffield United.
