Tottenham Hotspur Agree To Sign Poland Star At The Beginning Of The Season

Tottenham Hotspur is set to make their first summer acquisition, according to FourFourTwo

Reports state that manager Ange Postecoglou plans to make the Lilywhites his first summer acquisition.

After completely overhauling his team in the last 12 months, Postecoglou is apparently eager to bolster his roster by bringing in players like James Maddison.

Tottenham needs reinforcements in a number of areas, but one Euro 2024 star seems to be the first to arrive in north London.

Before agreeing to a four-year contract with Spurs, Sebastian Szymanski, a Polish international, reportedly reached a personal agreement.

If Chairman Daniel Levy wishes to reach a fee agreement with Fenerbahce, he will need to raise his offer of €17.5 million. The Pole will come with a £30 million price tag.

Szymanski went to the Super Lig last year and is presently playing for Poland in the Euros. The dynamic midfield player can play next to Maddison and also provide depth in the middle of the park.

The 25-year-old appears to be almost done, pending the agreement on a transfer fee. As it has been with Spurs in the past, this may be a sore spot, but Szymanski is cheap enough that Spurs supporters should mostly view him as depth.

Given that a deal has been agreed upon with the star, the move may happen soon.
