Tottenham keen On Olympics Player – Performance Today Could See Spurs Advance For Him

Foot Mercato reports that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Amir Richardson from Stade de Reims.

Last season, the midfielder played 1,350 minutes over 28 league games, including 14 starts. He is currently part of Morocco’s Olympic squad, and his exploits in Paris have piqued Tottenham’s interest.

The Premier League club has added the 22-year-old’s name to its target list. He has represented his country in four Olympic games. Morocco has advanced to the semifinals and will meet Spain on Monday.

Spurs have reportedly been closely monitoring Richardson’s recent performances for his country and will continue to do so today.
If the player impresses, it may ‘drive Tottenham to take action’ to sign him this summer. The midfielder’s contract runs until 2027, and it’s unclear whether the Ligue 1 club is eager to move him during this window.

On July 3rd, L’Equipe reported that Everton and Leicester City had expressed interest in Richardson, but the Premier League duo refused to pay Reims’ €10 million cost.

If Reims continue to want €10 million for Richardson, Ange Postecoglou’s team will undoubtedly be able to pay it.
