Tottenham Keen To Make Late Move For £50M Transfer

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to make a move for Bournemouth striker, Dominic Solanke before the end of the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old has been playing brilliantly this season. And Ange Postecoglou, who let Harry Kane leave for Bayern Munich in the summer, could make use an additional goal threat to help Son Heung-min.

Solanke failed to score goals in his solitary campaign at Liverpool and in his first two seasons at Bournemouth. However, the Cherries frontman gained confidence after relegating to the Championship, which helped him return to the top division.

This season, the once-capped England international has really settled into his groove. With only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland surpassing his 12-goal Premier League total. Those who have noticed and paid attention include Spurs, who decided not to replace Kane directly in the summer.

According to the Sun as cited by Daily Express, Tottenham are “ready” to pursue their interest in Solanke and make a move that might cost more than £50 million before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

With no time to find a replacement, Bournemouth would require a very compelling offer to let go of their star striker. But in case Spurs leave them with no other option, the south coast outfit are supposedly putting together a list of striker targets in France and Belgium.

The Cherries have resisted calls to part ways with Solanke thus far. Turning down approaches from Newcastle United this month and West Ham last summer.

The forward signed a new contract in September that will keep him at Vitality Stadium through 2027.
