Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly with former Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann over their managerial vacancy.
Spurs confirmed on Sunday night that head coach Antonio Conte had left the club by mutual consent after only 16 months in charge.
Cristian Stellini, Conte’s former assistant coach, has recently been promoted to take over as manager until the end of the season, with Ryan Mason serving as an assistant coach.
Daniel Levy is now poised to have a busy few months as he looks for Conte’s replacement, and a lot of managers, notably 35-year-old Nagelsmann, have already been linked with the Spurs job.
The German was surprisingly stripped of his duties at Bayern Munich last week, with Thomas Tuchel appointed as his replacement, despite the fact that the Bundesliga giants are still in contention for three trophies this season.
According to a recent report, Nagelsmann is the frontrunner among a 10-man managerial shortlist to succeed Conte at Tottenham, with Levy hopeful of holding negotiations soon.
According to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Spurs have made a ‘casual request’ to speak with Nagelsmann and his representatives about replacing Conte.

Plettenberg adds, however, that no formal talks or negotiations have taken place between the two parties, and Nagelsmann is likely to take his time making a choice about his future.
The German is considered to be a possible replacement for Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid this summer, with the current Los Blancos manager’s contract expiring in June.
If Tottenham’s pursuit of Nagelsmann fails, Levy may look to former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, who is now unemployed after stepping down as Spain’s head coach following the 2022 World Cup.
