Hugo Lloris has reportedly been offered a summer exit from Tottenham in the form of a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia.
The 36-year-old has less than a year left on his current Spurs contract and has been criticized for a number of high-profile gaffes this season.
Lloris has a joint-high four errors directly resulting to a goal, tied with Manchester United’s David de Gea, and he will also miss the rest of the season due to a hip injury.
Fraser Forster will continue to fill in for Lloris for Spurs’ final three games of the season against Aston Villa, Brentford, and Leeds United, with the latter having now played his final game for the club.
According to The Athletic, Lloris has recently garnered interest from an anonymous Saudi Pro League squad, who are ready to triple his £100,000-per-week wage.
If Tottenham acquire a new goalkeeper this summer, Lloris will not tolerate playing second fiddle and may contemplate a transfer abroad in order to continue playing regularly, according to the report.
However, the former France international is not expected to move quickly, and Tottenham would want him to stay for the 2023-24 season given his experience and leadership skills.

Lloris has appeared 447 times for Tottenham in all competitions since joining from Lyon in a £10.9m deal in 2012.
Lloris is eighth in Spurs’ all-time appearance list, and he is one of only 17 goalkeepers to have maintained over 100 clean sheets, despite failing to win a single major title in North London.
The World Cup winner finished second with Tottenham in the 2018-19 Champions League and the 2020-21 EFL Cup, but he has only nine clean sheets to his name from 31 appearances in all events this season.
