U-20 WWCQ: Falconets Hold Cameroon To 0-0 Draw Away In First Leg

The Falconets of Nigeria held Cameroon to a goalless draw, in the third round first leg, of the 2022 U-20 women’s World Cup qualifier in Douala on Saturday.

The Nigerian team created couple of chances in the first half but could not break the defense line of the Cameroonians.

It was the same story in the second half as both teams eventually settled for a goalless.

Both teams will come up against each other again in the second leg which comes up on February 5, 2022 in Lagos.

The winner will then proceed to the fourth and final round of the qualifiers.

Two teams will represent Africa at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup (originally 2020 but postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic) in Costa Rica.
