In other results, City thrashed Club Brugge 4-1, Ajax beat Dortmund 3-1, Besiktas were hammered 4-0 by Sporting Lisbon and Inter Milan defeated FC Sheriff 3-1.
Meanwhile, four teams, Bayern Munich, Ajax, Liverpool and Juventus have qualified for the knockout phase with two games to spare after four wins from four.
