How Many Gameweeks Are There In The UCL Fantasy Gameweek?
First of all, you should be aware that the UCL Fantasy competition differs significantly from the typical FPL game in terms of gameweeks. The UCL fantasy game is based on 13 Gameweeks (across each stage of the UCL – from the group stage to the final).
The UCL features both Europe’s top teams and second-tier clubs all over the continent, which is enough to produce significant differences in team quality and present opportunities that must be adequately taken advantage of in hopes of finishing strongly.
Consider an FPL Gameweek in which Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea face opponents who may not be as strong as the 20th-ranked Premier League team. We’d be all over them, and that’s exactly what’s happening here – at least in the group stages.
The distribution of players between Tuesdays and Wednesdays is one of the important issues that hardly receives any attention. Manual substitutions are in place, however, in the UCL fantasy, which means you can sub out an underperforming player on Tuesday for one yet to play (till Wednesday).
Which Chips Are Available To Managers?
There are two chips available to UCL Fantasy managers: Wildcard and Limitless.
WILDCARD
The Wildcard gives you the ability to make unlimited transfers for a specific matchday without being deducted any points. Any players you bring in will remain in your squad after the matchday has finished. If you have already made transfers in the run-up a matchday before activating your Wildcard, those transfers will be cancelled, along with any points deductions.
LIMITLESS
The Limitless chip gives you unlimited transfers for a specific matchday, but different to the Wildcard in the following ways:
• No budget restrictions are in effect when playing the Limitless chip, so price is no issue when assembling your squad.
• After the matchday has concluded, your squad will revert to how it was before you activated the Limitless chip.
Once again, any transfers and/or points deductions that occurred prior to activation on that matchday will be cancelled.
How Are The UCL Fantasy Points Scored?
There are plenty of ways to score points in Champions League Fantasy. It takes a different style to the Premier League fantasy game.
Here are some key ones:
- Goals (4 points for forwards, 5 for midfielders, 6 for defenders and goalkeepers)
- Scoring from outside the box (1 point)
- Assists (3 points per player)
- Clean sheets (4 points for goalkeepers and defenders)
- Player of the Match (3 points)
The UCL Fantasy Captaincy
A key way of maximising your points total in UCLFantasy is the ability to change your captain within matchdays. You can switch captains too within a gameweek (Tuesday and Wednesday), just like a sub.
With double points on offer for your captain, that’s a great opportunity to score heavily.
Meanwhile, the UCL Fantasy deadline is not over until the first game of the week kicks off. This means that we will definitely have some line-ups on hand before finalizing our squads.
