UEFA Might Invite Cristiano Ronaldo To The Champions League Next Season

Following reports from Saudi Arabia, UEFA may be thinking of inviting Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr captain to the Champions League next season.

According to Sport Bible, the Portuguese superstar scored his 13th goal of the Saudi Pro League season last week as Al Nassr defeated Al Wehda 3-1 to get within four points of Al Hilal, who are at present on top of the table.

Despite the fact that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been on a top level lately, his performances have not been in front of an extensive crowd of fans from Europe.

But that might not last for very long. Saudi journalist AlHarbi44 on X, previously Twitter, claims that UEFA have thoughts of inviting Al Nassr to the Champions League in 2024–2025.

The journalist cites Al Nassr’s “great popularity” among European supporters and their status as one of the “three most famous clubs in the world” as the reason for this.

Ronaldo is arguably the greatest player in Champions League history, and he would be happy to see Al Nassr get involved in the match.

The 38 year old has appeared in more competitions and scored more goals (140) than any other player in the competition. He was the first player to win the Champions League five times.

That is merely a small sample of Ronaldo’s accomplishments in the top European competition.

Ronaldo, who has been named the Champions League’s top scorer seven times, is the only player to have scored in 11 straight Champions League games. He has also scored 67 goals in the tournament’s knockout stages and in three finals.

The Champions League group stage will not return for the following season; instead, 36 teams will compete in a single, large league table.

The final table’s top eight seeds advance straight to the round of 16, while positions nine through twenty-four go to a playoff to determine the remaining eight spots. In Europe, positions 25 through 36 are removed.
