Manchester United are reportedly prepared to match Borussia Dortmund’s asking price to land youngster Jadon Sancho in January. Sancho, 19, left Manchester City to Jon BVB in the summer of 2017 and has seen his stock rise considerably at the Bundesliga outfit, making 71 appearances and scoring 18 goals in all competitions.
The Londoner has also received international recognition, with 11 caps for England and seems to have the footballing world at his feet.
However, rumours persist that there may be a few problems behind the scenes for the starlet at his German club, while Manchester United and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the past.
According to Bild, BVB want around £120m for Sancho and it seems as though the Red Devils are willing to match that fee.
A report in the Mirror claims that the Old Trafford money men will sanction a move for the former Watford youth star, although they may try to negotiate the price down to nearer the £100m mark.
The Guardian are also reporting that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to get Sancho on board as he continues to invest in youth at the Theatre of Dreams.
Anfield chief Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer but it is open to debate as to whether the Reds would be willing to spend such a vast amount on Sancho when their record signing is £75m superstar Virgil van Dijk.
It seems inevitable that Sancho will end up in the English top flight sooner rather than later but whether or not he arrives in January only time will tell.
