Borussia Dortmund has become a gold mine for top European clubs and scouting departments.
In recent years, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, and Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho have all left the BVB assembly line. However, the latter yielded mixed outcomes.
Now it appears that one of the Bundesliga giants’ most recent young charges, the ‘unstoppable’ (in the words of Emre Can) Jamie Gittens, could be next in line for a Premier League move.
How much will it cost to complete Jamie Gittens’ transfer?
With the arrival of versatile forward Federico Chiesa, the Merseysiders sought to solve a significant roster shortfall.

The Italian’s recent transfer from Juventus raises issues about the need for left-sided winger Jamie Gittens.
A question that will undoubtedly raise red flags for Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes once he learns of the Dortmund No.43’s €100 million [£83.2 million] price tag.
“Jamie Gittens (no longer Bynoe-Gittens after asking his father if he could make life easier for everyone by dropping one surname) is certainly no different, but he has his price,” Christian Falk exclusively told CaughtOffside.
Dortmund will not sell him in the winter, but if a Premier League club is willing to pay €100 million, they will pen negotiations and let Gittens go if he wishes to. Otherwise, they’ll wait and keep educating him with the goal of increasing his asking price.
“He is currently under contract until 2028, with no release clause. I’m not sure if he’s worth €100 million right now, but he’ll have to play another season at Dortmund next year to prove it!”
Jamie Gittens dreams about moving to Liverpool
Arne Slot’s men are well-stocked in that department, with Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz (and Chiesa’s potential to play out on the left included).
Nonetheless, it must be heartening to hear that a player with Gittens’ enormous potential would be more than willing to join Liverpool this summer. An interesting update following rumors that the Merseysiders are in advanced talks to recruit Loic Bade ahead of January.
“If you’ve previously played in England, you’ll always want to return and prove you’re talented enough to play in the Premier League, even if you only took one step back. Jude Bellingham would have returned to England if Real Madrid had not been involved.
