He may be known for his pace on the track, but Usain Bolt is determined to become known for his skills on the pitch as he holds onto his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
The Olympic champion is a proud Manchester United fan and has regularly expressed his desire to one day put on a pair of boots when he hangs up his running spikes.
In an interview with the Guardian, he explained that he had been discussing his options with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
He said: “We’ve genuinely been talking to people.
“For me, if I could get to play for Manchester United, that would be like a dream come true. Yes, that would be epic.”
According to the Jamaican athlete, Dortmund have invited him to train for a few days in order to ‘see what happens’; although as a huge United fan he would obviously love to play for the Red Devils.
He is also keen to meet current manager Jose Mourinho, likely to tell him what he is doing wrong and what he needs to do to get the team back where they belong.
