Usyk fight would be great – Haye

David Haye, manager of Dereck Chisora, has talked up the prospect of his client fighting Oleksandr Usyk next. Chisora produced a solid performance when stopping fellow Briton David Price in the fourth round of a heavyweight clash at The O2 in London on Saturday evening, taking his record to 32-9-0. The 35-year-old, who lost to Dillian Whyte last year, unsettled his opponent throughout and although Price managed to clamber to survive the count in round four, his corner threw in the towel to end the bout. Speaking after the victory, former two-weight world champion Haye says a fight between Chisora and Usyk, who was the undisputed cruiserweight champion before he moved up to heavyweight this year, would be great. He told Sky Sports: “I like the Oleksandr Usyk fight. That would be a fantastic fight. If he fights Oleksandr Usyk, he’s right up there for a heavyweight title shot. A title shot is what he wants.” Usyk is one of the most talented boxers around and won his first heavyweight fight earlier this month when defeating Chazz Witherspoon, who retired in his corner.
