Leicester City forward, Jamie Vardy appeared to throw a jibe at Tottenham Hotspur fans over their team’s failure to win a Premier League title following his goal to rescue a point for his side against Ange Postecoglou’s men.
The seasoned striker led the Foxes to league victory in the 2015–16 season, even though Spurs were their primary challengers for the majority of the run.
The London team ultimately crumbled to third place, with Vardy and Leicester commemorating an incredible victory.
When Postecoglou’s team visited King Power Stadium on Monday night for their first Premier League match of the new season, he once again proved to be their nemesis.
Pedro Porro gave the visitors the lead just before the half-hour mark as they dominated the majority of the match.
However, Spurs were unable to score another goal, which allowed Vardy to level the score 12 minutes into the second half. Abdul Fatawu crossed in for the Leicester skipper, who lost his man, to nod home at the back post.
According to The Mirror, Vardy, 37, made it very evident to everyone that he and Spurs are still very much in love when he was replaced with 11 minutes remaining.
Vardy turned to face the corner of the stadium where the Spurs supporters were gathered to watch the game before heading to the sidelines.

He then indicated his title win by pointing to the Premier League emblem on his shirt sleeve and then pointing to his chest with one finger. Then Vardy gestured to the Spurs supporters and raised his hand to indicate how many Premier League titles Tottenham had won.
In the aftermath of the match, Vardy played down his gesture, saying it was ‘part of football’.
