Al-Hilal forward, Neymar Jr has stated that Real Madrid star, Vinicius Jr deserves to win the Balon d’Or award following his incredible exploits as Los Blancos won the Laliga and the UEFA Champions League titles.
Vinícius, 23, who has scored six goals in the Champions League, including Madrid’s second goal in the 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Saturday final at Wembley, was named the competition’s Player of the Season on Monday.
Vinícius, who will spearhead the Selecao’s attacking efforts in the forthcoming Copa América, scored 13 goals as Madrid triumphed in La Liga.
“As for Vini, obviously I think the Ballon d’Or is his today,” Neymar said as echoed by ESPN.
“I sent [him] messages before and after the [Champions League final] game. He’s a boy I love with passion, a great friend that football gave me. He will certainly be crowned with the Ballon d’Or.
