Vinicius Jr. has undoubtedly become one of the world’s top football players in recent years, giving Real Madrid consistently outstanding performances.
Given that Vinicius’ contract is slated to expire in 2027 and that transfermarkt presently values him at an eye-watering $200 million (£150.12 million), Real Madrid will undoubtedly be considering extending his current agreement soon.
However, according to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, the 24-year-old could be banned for up to two years for violating the FIFA Code of Ethics.
This is due to a complaint that is now pending against Vinicius Jr., alleging that he participated in the purchase of several professional football teams through ALL Agenciamento Esportivo, a business run by his father and his agent.
The FIFA Ethics Committee’s Investigatory Chamber received the complaint from the Brazilian team Tiberis Holding do Brasil, which requested that Vinicius be banned for a maximum of two years, reports Yahoo Sports.
They made the decision to file this complaint following the promotion of Athletic Club of São João del Rei, a Brazilian team in which Tiberis owned 16.5%, to Serie B.
