Real Madrid was eliminated from the Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday night at the Bernabeu after losing the first leg 3-0 and the second leg 2-1.

Vinicius Jr. scored his 50th goal in the Champions League, marking a significant milestone in his career despite the loss.

In Europe’s top league, the star forward has scored 29 goals and provided 21 assists.

The 24-year-old becomes one of only three players in the team to achieve this feat, along with Raul, Karim Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nevertheless, the star-studded Real Madrid team was unable to handle Arsenal, who were driven by outstanding play by Bukayo Saka, reports Macon.

The Spanish giant, who now have a few weeks left in their season following an unpleasant setback, was unable to defeat the Gunners despite having incredible star power behind Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe.

“Real Madrid will be back, as always. Thanks for your support. We need to be together for the final weeks of the season,” Vinicius Jr. said after the loss.

“There are still titles we can win… always together with this team, this club until the very end. Hala Madrid!”
