Walcott Reveals His Favourites To Win Euro 2024

Former Arsenal star, Theo Walcott has reportedly revealed who he thinks will be crowned the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

Now that the group round is concluded, Euro 2024 knockout stages will commence on Saturday in Germany, with the final sixteen teams competing for glory.

England continues to be the favourites despite a few poor performances. Especially after they were able to escape some of the competition’s biggest names in their half of the draw.

According to DAZN, ex-Three Lions star, Theo Walcott stated on William Hill’s podcast, Up Front with Simon Jordan. That he is sticking to his pre-tournament prediction for the Euros and does not think Gareth Southgate’s team will win this summer.

“I don’t think England will win the Euros,” said Walcott.

“I think it’s really difficult when you come to the home soil of the Germans in particular. I fancied them to win it before a ball was kicked – they haven’t really been tested yet, though.

“There’s always something you’ve got to be fearful with the Germans, Spain too.

“I’ve enjoyed that Gareth Southgate has managed to reconnect the fans at these big tournaments, although it is slightly turning sour at the moment.

“But the positives are that he made some changes early on which not many people expected him to do.”
