Walk In The Mill will head back to Aintree to defend his Becher Chase crown, according to trainer Robert Walford. The nine-year-old sealed his only win of last season in the Becher Chase, beating Vieux Lion Rouge by four-and-a-half-lengths, and he will return to the scene of his triumph again this term. He made an unsuccessful return to action on his seasonal bow on Saturday but was pulled up at Wincanton. Walford insists his charge is fine, despite failing to finish, and has high hopes ahead of the Becher Chase as they look to build momentum for the Randox Grand National next year. “He’s fine, he’s come out of the race absolutely fine. We’ll head for the Becher Chase, he’ll be entered there next,” Walford said.
