Stan Wawrinka says qualifying for the ATP Tour Finals isn’t a target despite his strong form of late. The former world number three is currently competing in the Swiss Indoors in Basel and takes on American Frances Tiafoe in the last 16 on Thursday. Wawrinka is ranked as the world number 17 by the ATP and remains in the running for a place in the ATP Tour Finals. However, the three-time Grand Slam winner admits his chances appear slim and as such he isn’t thinking about a trip to London just yet. “I’m super-far away, so it’s not at all in my mind,” he told AFP. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Daniil Medvedev, Dominic Thiem and Stefanos Tsitsipas have already qualified for the Finals and there are two spots remaining. Defending Alex Zverev and Matteo Berrettini currently hold those two spots and Wawrinka is over 700 points behind the latter.
