Following the club’s confirmation of preparations, Arsenal will travel to the United States in the summer of 2023 to prepare for the 2023–24 season.
After three games in a week against Everton, Orlando City, and Chelsea last year, the Gunners will travel to the United States for the second year in a row.
On July 19, Arteta’s men will fly to Washington, D.C., to take on a group of players from Major League Soccer. Due to the match being played in the city of D.C. United, where Wayne Rooney serves as head coach, the All-Star team this year will be led by the legendary Premier League player.
This year’s edition of the fixture will be Rooney’s third-time appearing in the annual fixture.
He played for Manchester United in a 4-0 victory in New Jersey in 2011 in front of 26,760 fans before playing for the MLS All-Stars against Atletico Madrid in 2019.
