Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger says that the pressure from Gunners fans has been relentless.
Arsenal came from behind to draw 2-2 against Tottenham at White Hart Lane courtesy of an Alexis Sánchez strike in the 76th minute.
But after Francis Coquelin was sent off for a second bookable offence after half time the home side scored twice in the space of two minutes, leaving Wenger watching on frustrated.
Asked in his post-match press conference if Arsenal are in title race, Wenger said: “I don’t know. Let’s see what happens over the weekend but we have to take encouragement from today and if we can reproduce that we still have a chance.
“It shows that we had the right spirit and balance in the team, and overall we had a solid performance.
“The pressure of our supporters is relentless, and I’m in a good position to tell you that.
“If Leicester win at Watford, they are in a very good position and they don’t depend on other people’s results.”
Arsenal fans have seen the side go three Premier League games without a win and their title hopes dashed in the process.
The Emirates atmosphere is becoming increasingly toxic with each missed opportunity to take an upper hand in the race for the club’s first division crown in twelve years.
And it appeared as if it was a third consecutive for the Gunners which would have left the fans ferocious, adding more pressure on Wenger’s squad.
The run-in for Arsenal sees a home game against West Brom and a trip to Goodison Park in the next two league games.
