Arsene Wenger has told Kylian Mbappe that his best move would be to stay with Monaco for one more season.
The 18-year-old has become one of Europe’s most in-demand youngsters following his electric performances for the Ligue 1 leaders this season.
Manchester United have reportedly had a £72 million offer for the forward rejected, and Monaco are said to be holding out for a £100m fee.
Mbappe has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid, but Wenger, who has revealed he visited the Monaco striker at his house last summer in an attempt to secure a deal, believes rejecting a move away this summer would be the Frenchman’s best option.
‘Can Arsenal get him? I don’t know, that’s down to him,’ the Arsenal manager told beIN Sports.
‘You know certainly as I do that today he will decide where he goes and say: Real Madrid? Maybe. Barcelona? Maybe. Arsenal? Manchester?
‘He can go where he wants.
‘So I don’t know what are his deep aspirations but maybe the best thing for him is to stay one more year at Monaco.’
