Wenger coy on Bayern link

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has refused to distance himself from the rumours linking him with a move to Bayern Munich. After over two decades with the Gunners, Wenger has been out of a managerial position since May 2018 when he called time on Arsenal.
The Frenchman has often been linked with positions and the latest speculation has connected him with a move to the Allianz Arena to fill the void left by Nico Kovac.
Kovac was given his marching orders after Bayern’s 5-1 hammering at the hands of Frankfurt left the Bavarian giants down in fourth place in the Bundesliga table.
Speaking to beIN SPORTS, Wenger has been rather coy on the situation at the Bundesliga champions but has not ruled out the possibility of making a return to management with a new challenge in Munich.
Asked if he missed managing, Wenger said: “Of course. Coaching was my whole life until now and everybody who has coached will tell you the same. “You miss the intensity. There’s some things you miss a lot, and some things you don’t miss. So I enjoyed as well things I don’t miss too much. But on the other hand, winning football games, preparing a team for a game, developing players and getting satisfaction and shared emotions is something that you miss.”
Bayern are back in action on Wednesday night when they host Olympiacos in the Champions League before returning to domestic duties on Saturday when they host rivals Borussia Dortmund.
