West Ham have reportedly agreed in principle to recruit former Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.
Personal conditions have also been negotiated between Maguire and Southampton player Ward-Prowse.
Maguire is still in talks with United regarding the conditions of his departure, but the transfer, which is anticipated to cost around £30 million, is expected to go forward reported by Goal
The Hammers are also close to announcing the £35million signing of Mexico midfielder Edson Alvarez from Ajax.
The 25-year-old has passed a medical but the paperwork is still being completed.

Meanwhile, West Ham are said to have rejected a £60 million bid from Manchester City for midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
That is £30 million less than West Ham would consider selling the Brazil midfielder for.
However, a player swap might be involved, with Hammers manager David Moyes having long been interested in City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Alvarez and Phillips are both capable of filling the void left by the £105 million transfer of Declan Rice to Arsenal.
Moyes also admires young winger Cole Palmer, who scored in the Gunners’ Community Shield defeat on Sunday.
West Ham’s Premier League season begins at Bournemouth on Saturday, August 12, whereas United kickstart their campaign against Wolves on Monday, August 14. It remains to be seen which team Maguire will be part of as the Hammers seek to close a deal as quickly as possible.
