West Ham Boss Set To Be Sacked If Club’s Poor Performance Continues

Julen Lopetegui is fighting to keep his job at West Ham with crucial games against Newcastle and Arsenal coming up.

The 58-year-old former Real Madrid manager was just brought on board by the Hammers in the summer after longtime manager David Moyes left.

However, Lopetegui hasn’t been able to impress the club’s supporters or get off to a quick start.

With only three victories in their first 11 Premier League games this season, West Ham is now five points above the relegation zone.

The club’s powerbrokers are now quite concerned about their poor start to the season, even if majority owner David Sullivan is hesitant to remove the team’s management in the middle of the season, reports Mirror.

While they really contemplate making a move, West Ham has been lining up and speaking with possible replacements over the international break.

The likes of Edin Terzic and Kasper Hjulmand, formerly of the Denmark national team, have been the subject of internal checks, as have Roger Schmidt and Stuttgart’s highly-rated head coach, Sebastian Hoeness.

Furthermore, if West Ham struggle against Newcastle and Arsenal, Lopetegui will probably pay the final price. If the match against the former ends in a crushing loss, it’s possible that his destiny will be determined sooner rather than later.
