West Ham Eyeing  Former Chelsea Defender

West Ham are considering signing AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori, according to the Daily Mail.

Despite the high-profile signing of Max Kilman from Wolves, the Hammers are keen to recruit more defensive players.

With speculations suggesting that Nayef Aguerd is garnering interest from French club Lille following Leny Yoro’s exit, West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is considering a move for Tomori.

The 26-year-old joined AC Milan from Chelsea in 2021 and has had a memorable tenure in Italy, helping the Rossoneri win the title in 2022.

However, the appointment of Paulo Fonseca as AC Milan manager following the retirement of Stefano Pioli may mean the end of Tomori’s time in Milan, with West Ham looking to capitalise.

Tomori came close to signing for West Ham in 2020, but the defender turned down the opportunity to join the east London club minutes before the transfer window closed.

Tomori started 24 games for AC Milan past season, as the Serie A powerhouse finished second in Italy’s premier division, 19 points behind Inter.

‘Obviously, in football, things change so quickly so I wanted to make sure whatever decision I made was really thought out and to try and do what’s best for me.

‘I made the decision in the end to stay, to improve more, get some more games, gain some more experience and try and get to the levels I was at last season.
