Monaco are obligated to acquire West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer if he meets certain easily attainable benchmarks during his loan spell.
Kehrer has dropped down the West Ham pecking order this season and has played only a minor role at the London Stadium.
The Hammers had been keen to offload him this month, and he is now on the verge of joining Monaco in the current transfer window.

The two teams have agreed on an initial loan agreement worth €500,000, with the defender moving to the Principality.
According to Sky Deutschland, West Ham has also included an obligation to buy in the loan arrangement if Kehrer meets specified benchmarks.
The goals are said to be easily achievable and would be due another €11.5m once the deal becomes permanent.
The two clubs are finalising the details of the agreement for the defender to complete the initial loan move.
If everything goes according to plan, the German is expected to undergo a medical with Monaco today.
