The 68th edition of the Ballon d’Or award ceremony is going to take place at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on Monday night with numerous awards set to be given out to individuals, who were outstanding in the 2023/24 season.
The main focus of the ceremony will be on the men’s best player of the year, with three players believed to be in the running this term; Real Madrid duo, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, and Manchester City midfielder, Rodri.

Vinicius is reportedly the favourite to go home with the most prestigious individual award following his exploits with Madrid where he won the Laliga and the UEFA Champions League titles.
If the 24-year-old goes on to win the Ballon d’Or, he will become the first player born in the 21st century to do so.

Interestingly, should Rodri be named the winner of this year’s award, he is going to become the first player born in the 1990s to claim the gong.
