Marcus Rashford, like many other Manchester United players this season, has spent most of it feeling off.
Following a brilliant 22–23 season in which the wide forward recorded 40 goal involvements in 56 games, Rashford has underperformed, managing just eight goals and five assists in 40 appearances.
Rashford has occasionally appeared disinterested and without the same intensity that helped him have an incredible season the previous year. Given the current state of the team’s performance level, Erik Ten Hag has forced to discipline the England international for his off-field behavior this season, which hasn’t improved ties with the supporters.

Without a doubt, Rashford is a phenomenal player on his day, capable of outplaying any defender in the world and demonstrating his ability to lead the league in goals scored. However, Rashford, who turns 27 in October, ought to be entering his prime years and not seeing inconsistent play at this age. Reported By ESPN.
With the team’s current state—one beset by injuries and tactical shortcomings—this season has become more and more challenging. Whether Ten Hag stays or leaves at the conclusion of the season is still up in the air; Sir Jim Ratcliffe is expected to make a final decision following the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Performance have been languishing too long and the team looks to be in free-fall. They might have scraped past Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final, but their overall performance level has been lacking considerably all season long.
Rashford’s work rate has been picked up on by fans and used as a stick to beat him with, but that doesn’t paint the full picture.
