Wolves deny interest in Swedish starlet

Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected claims they are interested in signing Sweden Under-21 international Dejan Kulusevski. The midfielder is currently on loan at Parma from fellow Serie A club Atalanta and has impressed this season, with two goals in 13 appearances across all competitions for the Crociati.
Kulusevski’s displays have led to reported interest from elsewhere and Wolves are among a number of clubs to have been tipped to make a move for the 19-year-old.
It has been reported the Molineux side are weighing up a £13million offer for the Swedish youngster in the January transfer window, but head of recruitment John Marshall says he isn’t under consideration. “He is not a player that interests us,” he told Italy’s Tuttomercatoweb.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Southampton have also been linked with Kulusevski but the player recently stressed he is keen to finish the season with Parma.
Marshall also revealed that AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie was a player of interest over the summer but Wolves decided against a bid, and they are unlikely to return for the Ivory Coast international in January.
The recruitment chief says they are well stocked in midfield and that it isn’t an area they are looking to strengthen in the winter window.
Wolves are thought to be keen to bring in some defensive reinforcements, however, and they have been linked with an ambitious raid on Benfica for Ruben Dias.
The defender is also thought to be a target for both Manchester United and Manchester City so the Molineux-outfit would face stiff competition if they were to make a move for Dias.
The Portuguese giants value the 22-year-old at around £60million and have previously indicated they won’t entertain any offers in the winter window, although a move at the end of the campaign could be a possibility.
