Wolves v Slovan Bratislava Team News

Wolves should be boosted by the availability of full-back Matt Doherty for Thursday’s Europa League clash with Slovan Bratislava. Wolves will head into the match at Molineux sitting second in Group K, two points clear of their opponents, following their 2-1 victory in Bratislava last time out.
Another victory on Thursday will go a long towards securing Nuno Espirito Santo’s side a place in the knockout stages and they will be boosted by the news that Republic of Ireland international Doherty should be fit enough to feature despite being forced off with a knee injury during last weekend’s Premier League draw at Arsenal. “[Matt Doherty] He’s ok,” Nuno told reporters. “He’s recovered well from a knock on his knee. He did struggle, but he’s recovered well and he’s ok.”
Defender Ryan Bennett is also expected to return to the matchday squad following a groin injury, while midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White will be assessed in the build-up to the match as he is continuing to struggle with a lower back issue.
One man who will definitely miss out is forward Diogo Jota, who must serve a suspension after being sent off in Bratislava last month.
Thursday’s contest will be Wolves’ 23rd competitive match of the season across all competitions and Nuno admits, with the games continuing to come thick and fast, it is a case of trying to manage his squad as best he can. “We are trying to do a good job in terms of recovering the players, knowing that when you compete, these things can happen, situations can happen, injuries can happen,” the Portuguese coach added.
Following the clash with Slovan, Wolves will have to turn their attention back to Premier League action, as they are due to welcome Aston Villa to Molineux on Sunday.
Wolves were beaten by Villa in the Carabao Cup last week, but that is the only defeat they have suffered in any of their last 10 games.
