Woods provides Koepka update

US Presidents Cup captain Tiger Woods says he’ll give Brooks Koepka all the time possible to prove his fitness for the competition. The world number one is currently a doubt for the tournament next month after the American aggravated a left knee injury recently at the CJ Cup in Korea. Koepka was forced to withdraw from the WGC-HSBC Champions in China, with concerns growing whether he will be fit to take on the International team in Melbourne. Woods could be faced with making another captain’s pick, with Rickie Fowler being a possible candidate. However, Woods is adamant Koepka will be given as much time as possible to get ready for the Presidents Cup Down Under. “We’ll cross that bridge when we cross it,” Woods said. “All I can tell you is he’s rehabbing and he’s trying to get better, trying to get ready and we’ll let him focus on that. “Just let him do that and put energy into that, and when you start playing golf, let me know. But your rehab comes first before golf, and just keep me abreast of what the process is.”
