The agent of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has confirmed the Ivorian will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Dimitri Seluk stated that Toure will look into the “various” offers he has received from other clubs with the intention of joining one of them in the summer. Seluk said similar last summer, however club chairman Khaldoon al Muburak intervened to personally convince Toure to stay.
A change of mind doesn’t look likely this time around though, as Toure is set to say goodbye to City a year before his current contract is scheduled to end.
Seluk said: “We have waited too long. Manchester City promised a deal but nothing has materialised so Yaya will leave in June.
“Yaya is disappointed, of course, but he is a professional and he remains under contract so he will continue to do his best for City.”
Inter Milan have long been talked up as Toure’s next destination, and it’s recently been reported that they’ve made another play to take the 32-year-old to Serie A. Seluk insists no decision has yet been made, but he’s not surprised Inter are interested.
He added: “Will the economic aspect make the difference? Absolutely not. We don’t put money before everything, but the project the club presents us. The best will convince us.
“We’re definitely talking about a great club (Inter) and everyone knows about the relationship between Yaya and (Roberto) Mancini, but like I’ve already said, we haven’t made any decision yet.
“But I’ll add that the Nerazzurri’s project is great and Inter is a fantastic club. So it’s normal that they want a player of this level.”
Toure is set to feature for City in the Champions League last eight on Wednesday night, at the home of another club who have been linked with a move for him in the past; Paris Saint Germain.
