Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has come in for criticism from fans for his apparent lack of work-rate during the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.
Toure was brought into the starting XI for the clash against Real, with David Silva out injured and Raheem Sterling still not fully fit.
City manager Manuel Pellegrini was clearly putting his faith in Toure, hoping that the Ivorian would put in one of his match-winning performances.
However it wasn’t to be the case, as Toure rarely broke into a sprint, struggling to really make much of an impact in the game, and his performance was captured on video by one observer.

During the game Toure didn’t win a single tackle, create a single chance or make a single interception, as he was totally overrun in midfield.

Sterling eventually came on for the midfielder, with Kevin De Bruyne moving into the No.10 role, but it felt like it was too late with Los Blancos already one goal up and having plenty of chances to double their lead.
Toure’s future has been the subject of much speculation, with his agent recently saying that he expects his client to leave the club when Pep Guardiola arrives in the summer.
